Zero Waste Resolution

On August 5, 2008 the City Council passed a resolution supporting legislation for Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR). EPR, also known as Product Stewardship, is a policy approach that shifts California's product waste management costs to producers and users in order to reduce public costs and drive improvements in product design that promote environmental sustainability.

A DAY WITHOUT A BAG

Give a present to the environment for the holiday season by getting involved in A Day Without a Bag! This public awareness campaign happens annually in December to urge shoppers to forego disposable plastic bags and paper bags in favor of reusable totes. This year it will take place on December 18th.
