METROPOLITAN WATER DISTRICT’S SUPPLY PLAN TO REMAIN IN EFFECT
The recent rains in Southern California have helped reduce our water demand during the first part of 2010. In conjunction with your conservation efforts and the rain, we are meeting our conservation goals set in June 2009 by Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. The Water Supply Allocation Plan (WSAP) will be the same for a second year in a row effective July 2010 / June 2011. HOW MUCH SHOULD I BE WATERING?
San Juan Capistrano is now in Stage 1 Water Conservation, effective June 1, 2009, and this will continue until further notice.
THE WATERING INDEX AND WATERING CALCULATOR
Many of us overwater our plants and lawns. But now, figuring out how much water your lawn and garden really need is easy with the Watering Index and Calculator. Get started using the link above to create a customized watering schedule. Then use the Watering Index daily, weekly, or monthly to adjust your schedule. The Watering Index is updated daily. You could save as much as 1,000 gallons a month by watering your plants only as much as they need.
