Welcome to the Utilities Department!
We pride ourselves on providing our residents, merchants, and visitors with superior preservation of the City’s infrastructure, as well as providing maintenance in a cost effective and efficient manner that continues to promote and safeguard San Juan Capistrano’s high quality of life.
The Utilities Department consists of three divisions. The Administration Division takes care of the day-to-day operations of all department functions, as well as establishes and implements priorities, policies and procedures, and provides long-range planning for the department's two other divisions. The Water Division plans, develops, builds, and maintains the City’s water and sewer infrastructure. The Sewer/Wastewater Division is responsible for maintaining the City's sewer collection system.
